Mudune Adappelage Seyed Abdul Cader Mohamed Zubair was born in April 1933 in Neerella, Akurana. His early education began at the Akurana Tamil School, where he studied until 1941. In 1942, he joined St. Anthony\u2019s College, Kandy, to continue his studies. In 1954, he entered the University of Ceylon\u2019s Faculty of Engineering. He graduated in 1958 with a BSc in Electrical Engineering.<\/span><\/p>

His professional journey culminated in his appointment as the Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board, Lanka Electricity Company, and Lanka Transformers Ltd., where he served from 2002 to 2005.<\/span><\/p>

His leadership extended beyond engineering, reflecting his dedication to education and community development. As a member of the Board of Management of the Muslim Ladies Arabic College in Kal Eliaya since 1984, he became its President in 1996, a role he held until at least 2020.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Watapuluwe Gedara Jalaldeen Mohomad Samoon was born in April 1944. He studied at St. Anthony’s College. Samoon began his higher studies at the Faculty of Engineering, starting his first year at the University of Colombo before transferring to the University of Peradeniya. He graduated in 1968.<\/span><\/p>

His professional journey began with a short stint in Nuwara Eliya, where he worked for eight months. Soon after, he secured a position as an engineer with the River Valleys Development Board (RVDB). In 1971, he was appointed as the in-charge of a precast concrete production yard in Ambilipitiya, contributing to the Udawalawe Development Project.<\/span><\/p>

Later, Samoon moved to Colombo to work in the Building Department. This role proved pivotal as it provided him the opportunity to obtain a London Chartered qualification, further advancing his career in the engineering field.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
